Travel For Free and Get Paid $4k Per Month to Do It? Yes, Please!
This summer, Wow Air is offering a dream job to two lucky travel enthusiasts
Budget carrier WOW Air is no stranger to cutting-edge marketing campaigns that offer "dream jobs" to everyday Joes. In fact, my travel pal Phillip Calvert from Milwaukee, Wis., won WOW Air’s SnapTraveler contest in 2016. The Icelandic airline sponsored Phil to visit their top destinations while he captured his experiences on Snapchat. Pretty great gig, eh? Well, WOW Air might have actually outdone themselves this year with their latest campaign—the Wow Air Travel Guide.
The WOW Air Travel Guide campaign is a three-month paid opportunity to travel the world with your best friend this summer. Your assignment: move to Iceland, fly from Iceland to some of WOW Air's 38 destinations around the globe and capture your every move via vlogs, photos and Instagram Stories. Your travel and accommodations will be taken care of by the airline, and you'll receive monthly salaries of approximately $4,000 each.
According to WOW Air, your mission as a content creator is to uncover the best eats and drinks, sample the local nightlife, show how to budget your travels, mix with locals, get around using the city's transportation system and explore the region's parks, beaches and wildlife. It's a tough job, but someone's got to do it.
Just think, in a couple of months, you and your travel companion could be visiting the following destinations (and several others) on WOW Air's dime:
- Amsterdam
- Barcelona
- Berlin
- Boston
- Brussels
- Copenhagen
- Dublin
- London
- Los Angeles
- Montreal
- New York
- Paris
- Salzburg
- San Francisco
- Tel Aviv
- Warsaw
To apply, grab your best bud and film a two-minute video about the places, people and things that make your hometown great. Once you've got that locked, upload your video here. Good luck and come visit me in LA if you get the gig!
